His book “Open,” in stores Monday, allows Agassi to tell the secrets he’s carried in silence for years. Secrets about using non-prescription drugs, evading punishment for a failed drug test, a long-standing dislike of tennis and wearing a hairpiece.

Agassi described the memoir, a compelling read written by Pulitzer Prize winner J.R. Moehringer from the eight-time Grand Slam champion’s taped recordings recollections, as part of his “atonement for where I’ve been in my life.”
