Punk Rock Band RANCID Opened Up For Rise Against At The Joint Theater
Punk rock band RANCID opened up for Rise Against at The Joint Theater inside the Hard Rock Las Vegas Hotel on July 13. A packed house of fans couldn’t wait for their performance.

Formed in 1991, RANCID American punk rock band from Albany, CA, by Tim Armstrong and Matt Freeman. The band is credited with reviving interest in punk rock in the United States during the mid-1990s. Both rockers have played in ska punk group Operation Ivy.

Band members include Branden Steineckert on drums, Freeman on bass and vocals, Armstrong on guitar and vocals and Lars Frederiksen on vocals and guitar. Members who formed the group include former drummer Brett Reed, Freeman and Armstrong. RANCID needed another guitar player and added Frederiksen in 1993.

Fame came to the band with their second album in 1994, Let’s Go. Their featured single was “Salvation.” Followed up with And Out Come the Wolves, which was highly successful. It was certified gold and platinum with hits such as “Ruby Soho”, “Roots Radicals” and “Time Bomb.”
