Our contributing photographer Erik Kabik stopped by this evening and enjoyed some food and drinks. He started with a nice pint of Black and Tan (Guiness and Bass), a cheese plate featuring a variety of apples, walnuts, cheeses, and toasted breads.

He then ordered the freshly carved Brisket, served with Challah Bread, BBQ and a honey soy sauce, paired with a delicious pint of Newcastle. The dinner was fresh and tasty.

I visited the Todd English pub on friday of the opening week. Reception and hosts were warm and inviting. We ordered Caesar salad, oysters, stone crab, sliders, and the roast turkey platter. Shellfish and stone crab were fresh although the TE signature cocktail sauce tasted like glorified common ketchup. The Caesar salad was fresh but anchovy and the sharp tang of Parmesan was lacking and strangely included tomatoes. The sliders were perfectly cooked and tasty. The turkey platter was unacceptably dry…Bone dry.
After this less than par experience we were ready to pay but it took 15 minutes of waving my arms and hands and even flailing them wildly in the air to gain attention from anyone of the staff(no joke). I had to get up and tell the host to tell a waiter to give us our bill even though our waiter was right behind us. The bill arrived from a different waitress that complained we should have flagged her down sooner even though she was not working our section or our table.
I will NEVER recommend anything with Todd English’s name on it due to this lackluster experience.
